Wood Fired Pizza Ovens Warranty

Traditional Ovens

We offer a 2 year limited warranty on parts for all ovens we manufacture. Here are the highlights: 

It's natural for brick ovens to develop cracks and this is not covered under the warranty. Cracks are normal in all traditional ovens and do not signify a defect with the oven. All removable parts such as doors, chimney caps, and small tools are covered under warranty against breaking and unnatural damage from regular wear and tear. Where warranty applies it also means we ship the parts to you for free. We reserve the right to request clear pictures of damage. We do not require shipping the damaged parts back to us, unless at our expense. We reserve the right to refuse a warranty claim where damage clearly arises from accident (oven was dropped etc.), improper use (liquids were burnt in the oven or it was left uncovered under open sky etc.), or anything else other than normal use.

Terms and Conditions:

All our ovens are quality checked before they leave our factory. If the oven is used in the manner in which it is intended there should not be any reason for warranty except in the instance that it may have been damaged in transit to the store. Each case will be looked into to verify any warranty issues.

General Wear and Tear:

Your wood fired oven when first installed, like anything new, is in pristine condition and visually free from blemishes. It must be remembered that when fire is introduced to the chamber and you start cooking, your oven will start to show signs of “general wear and tear”. This is quite normal and to be expected with this product.

These types of things includes:

  • Carbons build up from the fire blackening the internal chamber and some areas of the front render and top of the flue.
  • Scratches and marks on the brick floor from trays etc. sliding across it.
  • Flaking of the paint on the door or output chimney due to exposure to heat.
  • Slight discolouration of the floor tiles due to food spills etc.
  • Colour change or rust of the steel output flue and door on the oven due to exposure to heat.
  • Minor “cracking” of the external render notably where the render and the front arch meet.
  • Minor “cracking” of the internal chambers. The points mentioned above do not constitute faulty workmanship.

Cracking related issues:

We have spent the last 15 years researching and developing the materials used in our wood fired brick ovens. As this product will expand and contract with heat it is impossible to avoid some kind of cracking. We have reduced this issue dramatically. In all BRICK ovens the appearance of internal cracks/external cracks does not constitute faulty workmanship as it is a normal occurrence with this type of specialized refractory material. It will not in any way affect the running or efficiency of the oven. Should any concern arise about cracking, please contact us and we can arrange a 'repair kit' to be mailed directly to you.

Moisture related issues:

As much as the ovens are weatherproof, it should be noted that it is the customer’s responsibility to modify any existing reticulation to ensure that the oven is not overexposed to excessive amounts of water or froze on a continual basis. If the oven is very wet internally, it reduces the ability of the oven to heat up quickly and with minimal smoke and in extreme situations can cause the materials to break down. Impexfire cannot be liable for excessive water damage caused by failure to prevent constant exposure to water sources other than that generated by the weather. It is strongly advised to use a protection cover if the oven is not protected from rain, snow, or ice.

General Maintenance:

Black high temperature engine paint can be used for touching up the output from the chimney if required.

Misuse:

Impexfire will accept no responsibility for misuse of the oven due to overloading of wood that will raise the inside temperature over 450º Celsius during use, or placement of inappropriate materials, fuel, or objects into a hot oven. The oven is primarily designed for cooking and is only intended for that purpose. Damage caused by other uses will void all warranty.

We offer complimentary consultations and estimates for oven installations or built-ins in most parts of Connecticut. 

Self-Pickup:

Can I collect the oven on my own?
Certainly! Reach out to us, and we'll point you to the nearest retailer. However, be aware that ovens can be quite heavy, exceeding 1200lbs depending on the model you select.

Warranty and Maintenance:

What kind of warranty do you provide?
It's common for traditional Portuguese ovens to develop minor cracks, either internally or externally. This is a regular occurrence and won't hinder the oven's performance. To help you address this, we include a repair kit for easy home touch-ups. 

Heating Process:

How long is the oven's heat-up time?
Typically, it takes around 45 minutes for the oven to reach the desired temperature, but this can vary based on the wood's moisture content.

Oven Curing:

Is oven curing necessary?
Absolutely! Curing eliminates mortar moisture, ensuring your oven's longevity. This process is essential for traditional ovens and recommended for portable ones. The procedure involves lighting small fires daily for five days, with each day's temperature gradually increasing:

  • Day 1: 140F/60C
  • Day 2: 215F/100C
  • Day 3: 300F/ 150C
  • Day 4: 400F/200C
  • Day 5: 480F/250C

Every evening, close the oven door to retain heat and prevent moisture from entering. Even after curing, some cracking is natural.

Wood Type:

Which wood varieties are best for the oven?
Opt for hardwoods like walnut, oak, mesquite, apple, and maple. Experiment with different woods to infuse unique flavors into your dishes.

Cleaning the Oven:

What's the cleaning procedure for the oven?
After the fire subsides and the oven cools, sweep out the ashes. It's then ready for your next culinary adventure.

Estimated Delivery Time

Post shipment, anticipate your items within a timeframe of 3-5 business days. We utilize UPS and FedEx for smaller items. Freight Shipment Specifics

The majority of freight items are shipped on pallets. Some delivery companies will reach out to fix a delivery slot, whereas others aim to drop off your order at the most accessible spot nearest to your home, preferably close to a garage. For Scheduled Delivery

Companies that arrange delivery slots necessitate your presence for the delivery and your signature for confirmation. Deliveries are made using a semi-truck with lift gate services, placing the shipment by the curb. Should you grant permission for the delivery to be left unsupervised, BBQ Kitchen Pros cannot assume responsibility for any ensuing damages. For Non-Scheduled Deliveries

If you're away, they'll position it close to the garage or main entry.

At BBQ Kitchen Pros, we want our customers to be completely satisfied with their purchases. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your order, we offer a return and refund policy.

30 Day Returns

We accept returns within 30 days of the date of purchase. If you wish to return an item, please contact our customer service department to receive an authorization number before shipping the item back to us. Please note that items returned without an authorization number will not be accepted. Items must be returned in new condition. 

Return Shipping

We stand behind our products and want you to be satisfied with them. In the case that you decide to return your purchase, we will gladly refund you for the product in its entirety minus the cost of shipping and return shipping incurred by BBQ Kitchen Pros.

To qualify for return shipping, items must be returned in the original packaging, pallet, and within the continental US. Once your return is approved and processed, we will provide a prepaid return shipping label. Simply print the label and adhere it to the package. Please ensure the returned item is packed securely to avoid damage during transit.

Remember, returns only apply to items returned in the original packaging and pallet. If an item is returned in non-original or damaged packaging, the customer may be responsible for any return shipping costs. In addition, freight shipping is scheduled for pick-up at a specific date and time, which is agreed upon by the customer. and customers must be there at the scheduled time. Missing scheduled freight time will result in a dry run fee which is issued by the shipping company. 

Damaged Items

If your order arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, please make a note of it immediately when signing for delivery and send photos to support@bbqkitchenpros.com on the day of delivery. 

Original Packaging Please keep all the original packaging and pallets for any items that need to be returned. Items that are not returned in their original packaging may not be accepted for return.

Non-Refundable Items that become damaged after use are non-refundable unless specified under warranty.

A. 30 Day Return Policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your order to request a return. To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags and in its original packaging. Items must be returned in new condition. You’ll also need a receipt or proof of purchase.

B. Easy Return Process

Once your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Items that are not eligible for return include the following:

Custom-made, special-order, and made-to-order products. Items are marked non-returnable in the item description. 

C. Damaged & Wrong Products & Issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately within 24 hours if the item is defective or damaged or if you received the wrong item so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.
To return your product, you should contact our mail.
Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

I also did ribeyes on the flame searing side and felt like I was cooking over a real wood fire! I’ve had other pellet grills and this one blows others out of the water. The simplicity of controller and well built stainless steel unit makes it fun to operate and gives you the feeling that it will last a long time. I had a couple small issues but Cookshack remedied them with next day delivery. Awesome customer service.

    after reading numerous reviews and watching YouTube videos I decided to pull the trigger and order the smoker. It shipped much quicker than expected and was delivered on a pallet. Have someone help unpack it as its quite heavy. It shipped much quicker than expected and was delivered on a pallet. Have someone help unpack it as its quite heavy. Emptying out the boxes from bottom cabinet helps to decrease the weight when you lift it right-side up. Assembly was straight forward. It probably took more time to remove the protective plastic covering on the grill than to put everything together. It was a little tricky to put the ethernet cable plug for the wifi antenna through the round grommet though. The wifi setup was a little confusing at first. It had to be first done on the phone without the app. Then the rest was all through the Memphis app. So how does it work It's amazing. The temperature control was quite good. Using my thermoworks smoke I kept an eye on the temp fluctuations and it wavers about 10 degrees /- from the set temp. Smoking ribs at 225 was as easy as setting the temp and watching for the meat to come to temp. Coming from a Weber propane and a Weber charcoal grill it was do much easier. I could never get 225F on the propane grill with constantly fidgeting with the fire. Also no more smoker box! The ribs were delicious and I think better than our local BBQ joint (45min drive away). Can't wait to put a brisket on to see how it will turn out. It is $$$$ but the 304 stainless, oven-quality gasket and the brains controlling the temp makes it worth every dollar.

    Traditional Ovens

    We offer a 2 year limited warranty on parts for all ovens we manufacture. Here are the highlights: 

    It's natural for brick ovens to develop cracks and this is not covered under the warranty. Cracks are normal in all traditional ovens and do not signify a defect with the oven. All removable parts such as doors, chimney caps, and small tools are covered under warranty against breaking and unnatural damage from regular wear and tear. Where warranty applies it also means we ship the parts to you for free. We reserve the right to request clear pictures of damage. We do not require shipping the damaged parts back to us, unless at our expense. We reserve the right to refuse a warranty claim where damage clearly arises from accident (oven was dropped etc.), improper use (liquids were burnt in the oven or it was left uncovered under open sky etc.), or anything else other than normal use.

    Terms and Conditions:

    All our ovens are quality checked before they leave our factory. If the oven is used in the manner in which it is intended there should not be any reason for warranty except in the instance that it may have been damaged in transit to the store. Each case will be looked into to verify any warranty issues.

    General Wear and Tear:

    Your wood fired oven when first installed, like anything new, is in pristine condition and visually free from blemishes. It must be remembered that when fire is introduced to the chamber and you start cooking, your oven will start to show signs of “general wear and tear”. This is quite normal and to be expected with this product.

    These types of things includes:

    • Carbons build up from the fire blackening the internal chamber and some areas of the front render and top of the flue.
    • Scratches and marks on the brick floor from trays etc. sliding across it.
    • Flaking of the paint on the door or output chimney due to exposure to heat.
    • Slight discolouration of the floor tiles due to food spills etc.
    • Colour change or rust of the steel output flue and door on the oven due to exposure to heat.
    • Minor “cracking” of the external render notably where the render and the front arch meet.
    • Minor “cracking” of the internal chambers. The points mentioned above do not constitute faulty workmanship.

    Cracking related issues:

    We have spent the last 15 years researching and developing the materials used in our wood fired brick ovens. As this product will expand and contract with heat it is impossible to avoid some kind of cracking. We have reduced this issue dramatically. In all BRICK ovens the appearance of internal cracks/external cracks does not constitute faulty workmanship as it is a normal occurrence with this type of specialized refractory material. It will not in any way affect the running or efficiency of the oven. Should any concern arise about cracking, please contact us and we can arrange a 'repair kit' to be mailed directly to you.

    Moisture related issues:

    As much as the ovens are weatherproof, it should be noted that it is the customer’s responsibility to modify any existing reticulation to ensure that the oven is not overexposed to excessive amounts of water or froze on a continual basis. If the oven is very wet internally, it reduces the ability of the oven to heat up quickly and with minimal smoke and in extreme situations can cause the materials to break down. Impexfire cannot be liable for excessive water damage caused by failure to prevent constant exposure to water sources other than that generated by the weather. It is strongly advised to use a protection cover if the oven is not protected from rain, snow, or ice.

    General Maintenance:

    Black high temperature engine paint can be used for touching up the output from the chimney if required.

    Impexfire will accept no responsibility for misuse of the oven due to overloading of wood that will raise the inside temperature over 450º Celsius during use, or placement of inappropriate materials, fuel, or objects into a hot oven.     • Day 1: 140F/60C
    • Day 2: 215F/100C
    • Day 3: 300F/ 150C

    Every evening, close the oven door to retain heat and prevent moisture from entering. Even after curing, some cracking is natural.
